Things I like about the Pixel 9 Pro: the hardware is first class and fast. It’s as good as anything Apple is doing IMO.
Things likely after moving from iPhone to Android (Pixel 9 Pro): moving back to iPhone before the 14 day return period is up.
Things I didn’t know about Android until moving from iPhone 1: the number of settings is truly overwhelming and seemingly scattered all over the place.
Things I forgot about moving from iPhone to Android 3: none of my audio stuff supports Google casting. It all supports AirPlay. Yes I know about Bluetooth.
Things I forgot about moving from iPhone to Android 2: MS Authenticator sucks and I needed to recreate all 2FA stuff.
Hell may freeze over today. There is a Google Pixel 9 Pro on it’s way to replace my iPhone. We’ll see if it sticks.
Totally stoked that I made the last payment on our Toyota Corolla. That’s going to free up a nice chunk of money that will then be used for paying off student loans. 😂
It’s “Browser change Monday” where I change the browser I’m using for the week and up this week is Vivaldi. I have not clicked with this one in the past but giving it a shot again. Yeah it’s fun for me changing browsers. Keeps things fresh.
I have to chuckle at these posts where people take such a hard can/can’t line on AI topics. Guy says AI can’t be a social companion. Direct evidence I’ve seen disputes that. Should it replace IRL friends? No, but nobody is saying that either. Again, that hard line that doesn’t really exist.
Fooling with Google Gemini 2.5. Asked about the Pixel 9 Pro and it said it hadn’t been released yet. It made the same mistake with the iPhone 16 Pro. Corrected it both times but what an odd set of errors - especially for Google’s own phone!
Just going to say it: The White Lotus is overrated. There is nothing redeeming about any of the characters and it’s the same show three seasons in a row.
